A powerful new art installation on the Atlanta Beltline is sparking conversation about the ongoing human rights crisis in Iran. Located on the Eastside Trail behind Ponce City Market, near the Kroger, the exhibit features visual stories and tributes to those impacted by the "Woman, Life, Freedom" movement. Atlanta police have released the mugshot of Alonte Ray, the 23-year-old accused of ambushing two officers and sparking a seven-hour SWAT standoff on Cheshire Bridge Road. The update follows a violent weekend incident where Ray allegedly opened fire on officers responding to a "shots fired" call at a local apartment complex. Both injured officers have since been released from the hospital as Ray faces multiple charges, including aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.

The Atlanta Police Department is investigating a shooting on Ruzelle Drive SE that left a young child in critical condition. During a Sunday press conference, investigators confirmed the boy, who is under the age of 10, was inside a home with three other children when gunfire erupted. While police believe the incident was targeted, they stressed the child was an innocent bystander and not the intended target. The victim has undergone surgery and remains in critical condition. Atlanta police are investigating a shooting that left a minor in critical condition on Sunday morning. Officers were called to Ruzelle Drive, where they found a child suffering from a gunshot wound. Investigators believe the child was not the intended target of the gunfire. The victim was rushed to the hospital and is currently in surgery. A man was arrested Saturday afternoon following an hours-long standoff at an apartment complex where two Atlanta police officers were shot.
