The fourth officer to die in the line of duty in Texas in the last two weeks, Deputy Bryan Pluger was involved in a car crash while responding to an emergency call.

Cassandra Damper testified Tuesday afternoon in her sentencing hearing saying she shot Devyn Holmes accidentally when she, Holmes and another man were in a car playing with guns. She told the judge she didn’t mean to shoot her friend.
