Maynard Jackson Sr. Our own Chris Rosenthal reports the additions highlight state efforts to preserve Georgia’s rich historic and civil‑rights legacy. Local group Westside Future Fund helped nominate 220 Sunset Avenue, a landmark tied to the family of Atlanta’s first Black mayor. Also, on the register we see Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s house where he lived with his family.

Trial begins for man accused of killing Buckhead grandmother
