Hosea Helps delivers Christmas joy to families across metro Atlanta | FOX 5 News
video

Hosea Helps is spreading holiday cheer across metro Atlanta, delivering toys and meals to families just in time for Christmas. The nonprofit is reaching families in 15 counties as part of its second annual Hosea as Santa initiative. Volunteers fanned out across the region on Christmas Eve, bringing toys directly to homes rather than requiring families to pick them up. COO Afemo Omilami says the effort was inspired by his son, the organization’s CEO, who wanted to create a more personal experience for families in need. In addition to door-to-door deliveries, Hosea Helps also hosted a large distribution last Saturday, serving more than 500 children. On Christmas Day, the group plans to deliver more than 1,500 meals to families across the community. Organizers say the goal is simple: meet people where they are and show them they are cared for during the holidays.
