Three men face sentencing next week for the 2016 murder of an Alpharetta man.

Michael Jamar Dawson, of Lithonia, Dontravious Mahone, of Riverdale, and Jemal Gines, of Decatur, were all found guilty of numerous charges Thursday including felony murder and burglary, more than a year and a half after the murder of a 21-year-old Kadarius Cortez Medlock.

Prosecutors said the trio broke into Medlock’s Alpharetta home at the Preserve at Academy townhomes off of Wade Creek Road the morning of April 21, 2016. They tied his hands behind his back with an extension cord and rummaged through everything in the house.

Before they left, prosecutors said the men fired two shots, one which hit Medlock in the back of the head, killing him.

The three men are expected to be sentenced on Monday.
