Man sues South Carolina to smoke weed behind bars

A South Carolina prison inmate thinks he should be allowed to smoke pot behind bars and he is suing the state to make that happen.

James Rose is suing South Carolina in federal court for violating his religious freedom by allowing him to smoke marijuana and keep his dreadlocks.

Rose claims he is a Rastafarian and weed is part of his religion.

Rose is serving a life sentence for the 2013 execution murder of Lincolnville, South Carolina council member.
