Georgia Power crews stage ahead of severe storms
Georgia Power crews are being staged across the state as severe storms move toward central and south Georgia, with areas like Macon and Warner Robins expected to see the worst impacts. Utility crews are being positioned south of Atlanta to respond quickly to outages and damage. Warner Robins Mayor LaRhonda Patrick says city teams are preparing resources and coordinating response plans. Georgia Power spokesperson Matthew Kent says preparation is key, “If you stay ready, you don’t have to get ready.” He gives us tips on how to prepare your home, and we are urged to stay indoors on Sunday night once the storm hits.
