Fox Theatre tours highlight stories of the supernatural
Atlanta ghost tours return to historic Fox Theatre this fall
The Fox Theatre is opening its doors to ghost hunters this fall with two specialized tours exploring the iconic venue's supernatural history.
ATLANTA - It’s one of Atlanta’s best loved and most famous venues — but is it also one of the most haunted?
Amateur "ghost hunters" are invited to explore the Fox Theatre in a fabulously spooky way by taking a Haunted History Tour or Ghost Tour, both of which are being offered on select dates in September and October.
Haunted History Tours are being offered on Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays this month and next month, and are exactly what you think they are: 60-minute guided tours which cover some of the Fox’s most famous supernatural stories. Ghost Tours, meanwhile, are happening September 28th through 30th and October 1st and 4th through 8th, and include live actors and exclusive access to areas including the theatre’s sub-basement. Tickets for the Haunted History Tours are $25, and general admission Ghost Tour tickets are $50.
The Fox Theatre, of course, has been standing for nearly a century, and remains one of the most iconic venues in the region. It opened on Christmas Day of 1929, and draws more than 500,000 visitors each year.
