The Georgia House has passed House Bill 1144, a new measure requiring drivers to pull over to the right shoulder of the road during traffic stops. Sponsored by Rep. Marvin Lim and supported by former state trooper Sen. Randy Robertson, the bill aims to address the dangers of stopping in the left passing lane. Our Deidra Dukes talks to lawmakers about how this change will protect both officers and motorists on Georgia’s busy interstates.
