Two teens were arrested for breaking into cars at an apartment building for elderly people. It happened at the Campbell-Stone Apartments in Sandy Springs.

Surveillance video captured a Jeep Liberty driving through the lot. There were two people smashing windows and going through the contents of the vehicles.

“They broke the driver's side window out. There was glass everywhere,” said Ms. Margie Schlesinger whose Honda Accord was vandalized.

When Police arrived they followed the Jeep as it sped out of the parking lot to a nearby road. That road is a dead end. Police said when the driver tried to get away he rammed into the patrol car and kept going. Police followed and said the two people inside eventually ditched the car and took off running. Police caught and arrested a 15-year-old boy and a 15-year-old girl.

“What is wrong with our young people today? It's sad that they go out and break car windows and all these things at 15 years old. What are they going to do when they get grown,” said Schlesinger.

Sandy Springs Police said the Jeep Liberty they were driving had been reported stolen out of Smyrna.
