Stephen Hawking Congratulates NASA on Pluto Flyby
Stephen Hawking sent his congratulations to NASA on July 14 as its New Horizons spacecraft neared Pluto after a nine-year, three-billion-mile journey to the dwarf planet.
“I would like to congratulate the New Horizons team and NASA for their historic flyby of Pluto,” he said in a video posted to Facebook.
“The culmination of a decade-long mission, I can’t wait to see what new information the New Horizons spacecraft will reveal about our distant relative.”
