Shoppers Who Patronize Regional Mall Far From Atlanta Assume It's Safe, But There is Crime
DAWSONVILLE, Ga. - It's not just Atlanta where car windows are getting smashed. A popular outlet mall north of the city has been struck recently by thieves, including some incidents in which guns were used.
Clerks at a jewelry store were forced to the back of a store while thieves raided the cabinets.
In a separate incident, someone used a sledgehammer to break out the front window of a prestige retailer.
Thieves took an estimated $30,000 in product.
