Fayetteville Police have issued a new warning about powerful narcotics which is being baked into food.

Last week, officers said they arrested two people for possession of drug-laced brownies. Police discovered the baked goods during a traffic stop and said they initially thought it contained marijuana.

Officers were surprised to learn the brownies actually contained ecstasy.

"It still kind of a scary thought to think of that this trend is out there now and so people just need to be very wary about eating something they don't know what the origin of it is," said Captain Mike Whitlow, Fayetteville Police Department.

Jason Knox and Milika Jackson were arrested in the case.
