Missing man last seen at Atlanta's airport

A family is searching for their loved one after he was seen at Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport more than a month ago.

A concerned family member of 22-year-old Deangelo Devine Carr said this is just not like him. Carr was last seen at the airport on June 6th.

News Radio 106.7’s Nathalie Pozo spoke with his cousin in New Jersey via Skype. She said he was on his way to see his mother in North Carolina, but never got on the plane. They have been searching for him since.

“We have been calling everybody back in his call logs. Reaching out to his friends, any new friends he made, the detectives, and we have come up with nothing,” said Leslie Caul.

“We have investigators inside of the airport. And they spent hours going over video surveillance, ask they couldn't indicate, or find any instance in which he made his way on an airplane,” said Atlanta Police Department spokesperson Sgt. Greg Lyon.

Carr's family said he's studying medicine in Alabama and checks in with his family every day. That's why they find this to be so unusual.

Atlanta Police said investigators have not uncovered anything to believe that Carr is in danger. Investigators believe he is no longer in Atlanta and may have traveled north.

“The investigator assigned the case believes his last known location is in New Jersey. He's employing a variety of tools to see we had he went,” said Sgt. Lyon.

Family members hope someone somewhere in Atlanta may have seen Carr and will be able to help police find him.

Investigators ask anyone with information to contact the Atlanta Police Department.
