Mattie's Call issued for missing man with autism

A Mattie’s Call has been issued for a missing man who has autism.

James Love III, 21, was last seen by his grandmother around 8:00 a.m. Wednesday. He was in the 2100 block of Nelms Drive.

Love’s mother said her son is a special needs person with the mental capacity of a 7-year-old.

Love is also blind in one eye.

According to police, Love is known to walk for extreme distances and frequents the downtown, southwest Atlanta and Lakewood areas.

Police said Love’s cell phone goes straight to a busy signal when dialed.

He’s described as 5’6” and weighs 160 pounds. Love has short black hair and brown eyes. He was last wearing a purple shirt with blue jeans.
