MARTA gives out holiday gifts to more than 3,500 children

ATLANTA - Thousands of metro Atlanta children now have Christmas gifts thanks to a holiday gift-giving effort by MARTA.

Officials handed out presents to more than 3,500 kids at MARTA headquarters Wednesday morning.

The company's general manager and CEO told FOX 5 News this event is made possible by MARTA employees who are part of the transit authority's charity club.

MARTA has done this every Christmas for more than 30 years.
