Lawyer calls for charges against pre-teen to be dropped

Attorneys for the 12-year-old who was taken into custody by a Cobb County Police officer are demanding charges against the child be dropped.

Corey Jackson was selling CDs at Cumberland Mall back in October and reportedly refused to give his name to an officer who confronted him.

Police arrested and charged the pre-teen and his aunt with felony obstruction, criminal trespassing, and other charges.

Monday, attorneys for Corey held a news conference to say they will fight for Corey until his record is cleared.

No word yet on when any court proceedings will take place.
