Jimmy Carter auction includes hand-crafted furniture

ATLANTA (AP) — An auction raising money for the human rights organization formed by Jimmy Carter will include a table and chairs crafted by the former president and three artists.

The annual auction raises money for The Carter Center. The auction is part a four-day retreat, planned to be held in Annapolis, Maryland from June 22 to 26.

Other items include an oil painting by Carter, an autographed jacket and guitars signed by the Allman Brothers, Willie Nelson, and Johnny Cash.

Carter and his wife, Rosalynn Carter, formed the Atlanta-based organization in 1982.
