Georgia sheriff's deputy arrested on child porn charges

A Georgia sheriff's deputy is out of his job and behind bars on charges of sexual exploitation of children and possession of child pornography.

News outlets report Travis Tuenge was arrested Thursday and booked at Bulloch County Jail.

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation told news outlets that Bulloch County Sheriff Noel Brown called on them Monday to investigate after learning that Tuenge was accused of child molestation. Brown suspended the 43-year-old deputy of his duties and he resigned shortly thereafter.

The Bureau says evidence shows Tuenge was in possession of child pornography. The investigation is ongoing. It is unclear whether Tuenge has an attorney.
