Authorities are now taking action along some of Georgia’s busiest highways after new numbers show an increase in fatal crashes involving trucks and buses.

A new campaign to educate drivers and enforce traffic laws is now underway.

Through Wednesday, law enforcement will be working in high-risk areas for truck and bus crashes.

One of those areas is along Interstate 285 between Interstate 75 and Interstate 85 on the north side of Atlanta.

But officials aren't only talking to bus and truck drivers.

Georgia, Texas, New York, and Ohio were the four states chosen to kick-start this educational campaign.
