Family pleads for safe return of missing Marietta girl
A family is praying for the safe return of a 13-year-old girl from Marietta, who has been missing for almost a week.
Shawn and Shelly Paige said their daughter, Alyssa Paige, disappeared from their home Tuesday afternoon. They said they haven't heard anything from her since.
"There could be something going on online. She was on punishment for some of the behaviors that she was having online on chat groups and different websites...and from what we have read on those accounts, we are very nervous," Paige said.
The family said Alyssa ran away once before when she was 11. But they said, that time, she was only gone for one hour.
Several family members handed out flyers to people and businesses in Marietta Square Friday. They are planning a search party Saturday at 5 p.m. starting at Shaw Park.
If you have any information about Alyssa's whereabouts, call police.
