On their first Thanksgiving without him, the family of a DeKalb County man vowed to find the drivers who hit and killed him.

“It's been very hard because Devin was a big part of our family and a big part of my life,” says Lauri Eason.

DeKalb County police say several vehicles struck Devin Eason just after 10 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 14. None of the drivers stopped. The 21-year-old had lost control of his motorcycle. He left home minutes earlier.

Eason's mother told FOX 5's Kerry Charles about the pain she's experienced.

“This has been awful,” says Lauri Eason. “I never expected anything like this to happen.”

Investigators have received few leads in the case.

Friends of the Eason family created a large "Justice for Devin" sign. They put it near the crash site on River Road, hoping it will get someone's attention and answers.

“I just don't understand how they could hit him and not know,” says older brother Bryan Eason. “It baffles me that nobody would stop and try to acknowledge the fact that they hit him.”

Eason, the son of a DeKalb County police officer, had a young son who is now 5 months old.

Investigators did review video from a home security camera in the area. It provided few leads.
