Netflix appeared to suffer a major outage across the United States on Thursday night, with more than 17,000 users reporting issues as of 9:20 p.m. EDT.

The most common problem? A frustrating error message stating, "This title is not available to watch instantly."

Outage-tracking site Downdetector saw a massive spike in reports starting around 9 p.m. ET.

Netflix updated its official status page to confirm that users "may have problems streaming some titles," but later updated to say that the service had been restored.
