DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - Remember the mess of a water main break along Buford Highway in DeKalb County earlier this month?
The break caused low water pressure countywide and triggered a boil water advisory.
Dozens of people worked to fix it and they managed to repair the pipe ahead of schedule.
Because of their diligence, DeKalb County CEO Michael Thurmond and the county commissioners honored the watershed department crew members for their outstanding service.
DeKalb County Police Department and DeKalb County Fire Rescue personnel were also recognized.
