Convicted sex offender charged with sexual torture
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) - A convicted sex offender has been arrested following grand jury indictments on charges of kidnapping and sexually torturing another man.
AL.com reports that 42-year-old Eric Arthur Howard of Blountsville is being held at the Jefferson County Jail on bonds totaling $120,000 after his arrest Tuesday. A grand jury returned indictments April 7 on charges of sodomy, sexual torture and sexual abuse.
Howard was previously arrested in 1995 on charges of abusing a 6-year-old boy. He pleaded guilty in that case.
It's unclear if he has a lawyer.
