A passionate message from a Cobb County judge Wednesday after denying a plea for a man charged with using young girls in sex trafficking.

Khiry Price, 23, was in court to enter a plea deal. He was expected to plead guilty to 16 counts of sex trafficking involving three teenage girls. Prosecutors said one of the victims was first pimped by price at 13 years old.

He would have received a 50 year sentence with the first 20 years to serve behind bars. But Judge Reuben Green said the deal was not severe enough for such a serious crime.

Shortly after the deal was rejected, prosecutors came back with a different deal that would require Price to serve 30 of the 50 year sentence. And the judge accepted that deal.
