Cobb County daycare's roof collapses after fire
COBB COUNTY, Ga. - Investigators are trying to find the cause of a fire that consumed a Cobb County daycare Sunday morning.
Officials say they received a call at 6:22 Sunday morning about smoke a flames coming from the Stars of Tomorrow Academy on the 1400 block of George Busbee Parkway.
When they got to the scene, firefighters discovered heavy fire. They eventually had to evacuate the building due to concerns about the structural integrity.
The roof of the building eventually collapsed. No one was in the daycare at the time.
There were no injuries reported.
The cause of the fire is not known. Officials say the roof collapse is causing a delay in the investigation.
