CAREFORCE: How to donate to the Red Cross for Michael relief
ATLANTA - FOX 5 Atlanta along with Publix and the American Red Cross have activated the CAREFORCE to help those impacted by Hurricane Michael in their time of need.
The storm slammed into the Florida Panhandle packing 155 mph winds and maintained hurricane-strength for more than 10 hours as it ripped across South Georgia before dumping heavy rains and causing flooding in the Carolinas and Virginia, already hit hard by Hurricane Florence. The storm impacted hundreds of thousands of people across the South and they need help to recover and rebuild.
All Atlanta-area Publix stores will be collecting donations at their checkouts with 100 percent of the donations going to American Red Cross in support of Hurricane Florence relief efforts.
The CAREFORCE partners thank all those who consider donating to help our friends and neighbors in the Florida and South Georgia hit hard by Hurricane Michael.
