Atlanta Water leaves daycare in a bind

The staff at Globe's Learning Center got an unwelcome surprise when all the faucets went bone dry Monday morning.

Daycare owner Anderson Globe has fifty families depending on him to care for their kids.

Globe investigated and found a work crew from the Atlanta Water Department down the block. Routine maintenance was underway.

Globe had a question and a big problem. He knew he could not keep his facility open without water to keep everything clean. Plus, he could not understand why routine work could not have been scheduled for the weekend.

FOX 5 answered the call and got in touch with the office of Commissioner Jo Ann Macrina. By the end of Monday, authorities had decided the work could be rescheduled. The change will keep Globe from having to shut his doors without giving his parents adequate notice.
