Man struck by lightning in Atlanta rushed to hospital

Staff at Grady Memorial Hospital are treating a man who was struck by lightning in Monday evening's severe thunderstorms.

The victim, who has not yet been identified, was hit near a home along Grand Avenue SW.

Luckily, he was alert, conscious and breathing when authorities brought him to the hospital.

His current condition is unknown at this time.
