Atlanta Officer Has SUV and Gear Stolen From Home

ATLANTA, Ga. - What a haul for a thief. On the Southside of Atlanta, a man returned home to find his brand new 2016 SUV stolen from his driveway. That man is also a police officer who works for Atlanta.

The disturbing part is what the crook got away with. Inside the SUV, was the officers body armor, a bullet proof vest, a Taser and a police radio. 

Neighbors shook their heads over the crime, saying not even a cop is safe from criminals. Atlanta police say they have just opened an investigation. 

Of those three law enforcement items, police can quickly deal with the radio. It can be disabled.
