Atlanta neighborhood sees increase in brazen crimes

It is a brazen crime that seems to be increasing in frequency in one Atlanta neighborhood.

According to residents, crooks have been kicking in doors in the middle of the day. On Saturday, they targeted a home on Braeburn Drive, the third home broken into in the last few weeks.

According to a post by the East Atlanta Security Patrol Watch Group, the same four perpetrators had been knocking on doors on nearby streets before finding their target.

"They were on a bit of a tear they ripped through the bedroom, threw clothes everywhere pulled all the draws, ripped up my bed, " said homeowner Nick Burchell.

Burchell said the crooks stole several items but ran off when police arrived.

Neighbors said they have increased security on their homes but nothing seems to be working to curb the crime.
