Arrest made in deadly hit and run case from February

DECATUR, Ga. - Police make an arrest in a deadly hit and run in DeKalb County back in February.

Omari Young was charged with vehicular homicide and hit and run.

According to Decatur Police, Young hit Anthony Lingoes, 33, just before 3:30 a.m. on Feb. 2. The collision happened along College Avenue near the intersection of Candler Road.

Medics rushed Lingoes to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said Young fled the scene.

Lingoes lived in Atlanta for about 10 years and worked as a cook at The Marlay House, family members said.

No word on if Young has a lawyer.
