Ariz. Troopers Forced to Shoot Cow Loose on Busy Highway

State troopers in Arizona said they were forced to shoot a cow that got loose on a busy highway.

The cow was seen weaving in and out of traffic on the Phoenix Highway Wednesday. Surveillance video, released by the Department of Public Safety, shows officers trying to round-up the 2,000 pound animal to prevent it from causing any accidents.

A report claims the animal was getting aggressive. Officers said they were forced to shoot it.

Officials said the cow was euthanized afterwards to keep it from suffering. The animal reportedly had escaped from a trailer after the driver made a service stop to repair a tire.
