Panel Rules NJ Casino Can Regulate Waistresses' Weight
They don't mind wearing the high heels, stockings and tight fitting corsets, but the waitresses at a New Jersey casino did take issue with the strict weight policy.
They took their demand to court and lost! An appellate court ruling said the Borgata Casino's personal appearance standards are lawful and that the "Borgata Babes" agreed to the rules when they were hired.
However, a lower court must decide if managers crossed the line when enforcing the rules. Casino rules prohibit severs from gaining or losing more than 7% of their body weight.
