Inviting children to weddings

Inviting children to weddings is a common dilemma faced by many brides and grooms.

Etiquette experts say it's perfectly okay not to invite children to a wedding, but that has to be clearly stated on the invitation or, better yet, via a phone call.

Recently a columnist for Salon Magazine wrote an article explaining why children should be invited. He said the feared meltdown during the ceremony rarely happens and drunk adults are way more disruptive than an unruly child. He also said children make for hilarious wedding photos.
