Burgers With Buck: Subconscious Burger

Dragon Con bills itself as the largest multi-media, popular culture convention focusing on science fiction and fantasy, gaming, comics, literature, art, music, and film in the universe.  While all of that may be true, the staff at #BurgersWithBuck doesn't take exception, but does think that the description is missing one very important element...burgers.  More specifically the Subconscious Burger, designed and constructed specifically for the 65,000 plus Dragon Con 2015 participants and people watchers who have descended upon Atlanta.

The Hyatt Regency Atlanta is Dragon Con party central, and Executive Chef Martin Pfefferkorn is literally catering to the participants.  Every year, he creates a special themed burger for the event, and with this year's Subconscious Burger, it seems he has even outdone himself.  He describes it as "3,000 calories on a plate".

The submarine sandwich style bun and shape of the grass fed patties put the sub in Subconscious Burger.  Then when you add the white cheddar cheese, bacon, BBQ sauce, garlic aioli, lettuce, onion, tomatoes, and crispy fried potatoes, you understand the rest of the name.  As Pfefferkorn puts it, "If you eat this burger, you're probably going to be unconscious afterward."

It is a lot to handle, but roaming around the city in full costume can certainly work up an appetite, although it would be tough to consume while wearing a Storm Trooper helmet.

The Subconscious Burger will be served all weekend at Twenty-Two Storys restaurant/bar on the lobby level at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta.  Heads up though...if it interests you, it is only available during Dragon Con 2015 so you better hurry.  And even if you are not participating in the Dragon Con festivities, it is the perfect people watching burger, and who knows, if you can take the whole thing down, it may be you that people are watching.
