She's been performing since she was in elementary school, and got her first guitar when she was eleven.  So even though Mia Green is only a junior in high school, she's already a seasoned singer-songwriter.  And now, that Woodward Academy student is hitting a major musical milestone, with the release of her debut album.

Mia Green's SUN & MOON is available for download now, and the artist will celebrate with a CD release party on April 22 at Kavarna in Decatur.  Green wrote or co-wrote most of the songs included on the album, which was recorded at Decatur's The Projector Room with engineer Tom Tapley.

Green (who studies guitar with Matthew Chenoweth) plays all the guitar tracks herself on the album, and was joined in the studio by her father, who played drums, and Brandon Bush, brother of Sugarland star Kristian Bush, who played keyboards.

Good Day Atlanta's Paul Milliken stopped by Woodward Academy to chat with Mia Green about her first album, and to find out what's next for talented young musician.
