Athens Academy celebrated with Paul Milliken Thursday morning live on Good Day Atlanta, bringing out the middle school to party with the Spartans. Our Team of the Week earned the spotlight after a thrilling win over Rabun County last Friday night, securing their second straight region title. Athens Academy is expected to land a strong seed in the private school bracket once the final power rankings are released.

Marietta honored as Team of Week after epic comebacks
Marietta is riding serious momentum after two dramatic wins — a double-overtime thriller over Walton and an 18-point fourth-quarter comeback against North Cobb. They appeared live on Good Day Atlanta Thursday as the Marietta Sports Medicine team presented them the High Five Sports Team of the Week trophy. Now, the Blue Devils are off this week, eyeing their first region title since 2005.
