The bold move even surprised Woods attorney, veteran defense lawyer Bruce Harvey.

"My gut reaction is, it hurts him. It can't help him. He has always been good about showing up. He always appeared in Judge Newkirk ' s court. He just didn't return," Harvey exclaimed.

The judge eventually revoked his bond after evidence showed that he was tampering with the state's witnesses.

Woods was convicted of two counts of felony murder and aggravated assault for the 2013 murder of Zachary Rose. A judge sentenced Woods to life plus five years.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
