A Vietnam veteran from Canton is upset after receiving his medical records, and those of ten other people from the V.A. Medical Center in DeKalb County.

Ken Newton told FOX 5 he retrieved his medical files for his attorney in a possible lawsuit concerning Agent Orange.

Ken Newton pulled out his medical records and those of eight men and two women. But his files were incomplete. Newton said his main concern is someone else has his records.

He wondered if any of the three other people in line with him at the V.A. Medical Center may have his medical records.

The files in Newton's possession included names, telephone numbers, medical tests and a couple of diagnoses.

Other than Newton's name and other sensitive information printed on the top of the files,  there were no social security numbers or addresses of the other people on the files.

Still, Newton believes he and the others are vulnerable to having their identity stolen.

In a statement, the V.A. said: "The Atlanta V.A. Medical Center places the highest priority on protecting the privacy of veterans. When issues occur in our system, we conduct reviews to identify, correct and work to prevent additional risk."

Newton said he will seek advice from his attorney on how to return the files. He said he wants to return them to a person of authority at the V.A. Medical Center.
