A south Georgia man who said he didn't know who won the 2016 presidential election has finally learned the results.

Joe Chandler said he was fed up with the political system and decided to go to bed on election night without finding out. He intended to find out who won the next morning, but when he woke up Chandler said he felt so peaceful he decided to wait until the afternoon. A few hours turned into a week and one week turned into two weeks.

“Having subtracted myself from this political fracas and all of the mayhem of the digital media, I kind of  found the center of the cyclone, it is very peaceful in my bubble of ignorance,” Chandler said last week.

Tuesday morning, live on The Bert Show, Chandler found out Donald Trump will be the next President of the United States. Similar to a gender reveal, Chandler learned Trump won when Assistant Producer Davi Crimmins opened up a box with red balloons inside.

Chandler said he is a little distressed about Trump becoming the next president, because he was always a Bernie Sanders fan.

Ahead of the reveal Tuesday, Chandler said he was able to stay politically "clueless" because he works from home and was able to avoid televisions, newspapers and social media.  He said when he'd go out, he wore a sign that read “I don’t know who won and don’t want to. Please don’t tell me.”
