Woman shot to death in southwest Atlanta

ATLANTA - A woman was pronounced dead shortly after a shooting in southwest Atlanta Monday afternoon.

At around 3:21 p.m., Atlanta police received a call to report to 985 Cox Avenue SW, which appears to be the address of a towing company.

They discovered an unconscious woman there with an apparent gunshot wound. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Homicide Unit is currently investigating the case.
