Suspicious item in Little Five Points not explosive
ATLANTA - Officers have cleared the scene after blocking off a street in Little Five Points after confirming that a suspicious item was not explosive.
According to officials, police found a pipe with a cap on the end and duct tape.
They were concerned it may be a pipe bomb, but have now declared it not to be dangerous.
The bomb squad had been called out to investigate.
The police blocked off the area at Euclid and Colquitt Avenues to ensure safety and are now working to open the area back up to traffic.
