State trooper's vehicle hit by car

ATLANTA - A car slammed into a Georgia State Patrol Trooper's vehicle early Saturday morning.  It happened near the intersection of Roswell Road and Powers Ferry in Atlanta.  

Authorities said the trooper was pulling out of a parking lot when another driver t-boned him.  Sgt. Stacey Collins said the driver of a black sedan told investigators he thought he had a green light.  Sgt. Collins pointed out there are no traffic signals at that location.

The driver was arrested.  Authorities said he may be facing DUI charges.  The trooper had minor injuries and is expected to be okay.
