Remembering Stefanie: Helping others

It's been a year since Stefanie Ballard passed away from a mysterious illness, leaving her two young daughters and husband behind. Hundreds of her friends came together this week to remember Stefanie by helping others.

A group calling themselves the #StefSisters worked to collect essential supplies for the women and children of the Atlanta Mission. The group delivered a large shipment to the mission Monday morning in honor of their friend Stefanie. The delivery included personal care items, bottled water, wash cloths, alarm clocks, laundry detergent and more.

Jennifer Pasley told FOX 5 Atlanta that the donation effort was to help celebrate Stefanie's life and to remember all of the good that she brought to her friends.

The Atlanta Mission/My Sister's House tells FOX 5 that the donations will benefit the 275 women and children that they serve. The mission has four campuses around Atlanta and help over 1000 homeless people every day.
