An 18-year-old cashier was among several victims of two armed men who targeted two stores Thursday morning.

"I was ringing up one of the customer when I saw a gun pointed at my head and he told me to open up the register," Brianna Sanders said.

Sanders said one customer tried to put up a fight as the gunman stole wallets and cellphones from the other customers.

"That guy was in his 60s or 70s and the guy with the gun started chasing him. He reached for the [robber's] gun and that's when he shot him in the hand," said Sanders.

DeKalb County Police confirmed one customer was shot in the hand. Witnesses said the shooting victim was alert when paramedics to him to the hospital.

The men left the store on Lawrenceville Highway near Frazier Road around 9:30 a.m. Detectives believe the same two men robbed the Dollar General Store a few miles away on North Indian Trail in Clarkston. Wallets and cell phones were stolen from there, but no one was injured.

Police hope surveillance video will give them a better description of the men involved.
