Police arrest suspects in Norcross child shoooting
NORCROSS, Ga. - Police have arrested two suspects in connection with the shooting of a boy in Norcross, according to police. 19-year-old Jonathan Yanez-Gomez and 18-year-old Kevin Ortiz were taken into custody on Thursday.
The incident happened May 20 on Marshes Glenn Drive. Norcross police said they have already arrested two teens in addition to Ortiz and Yanez-Gomez.
Police say both are believed to be gang members involved in a recent drive-by shooting that put a young child in the hospital. The little boy is recovering from his injuries.
Ortiz and Yanez-Gomez were found hiding in an attic in a residence in Lawrenceville, according to police. They are being held at the Gwinnett County Jail on charges of aggravated assault with a firearm from a motor vehicle.
