The warnings have gone out across north Georgia. Those that don’t need to be in Downtown Atlanta Monday afternoon should leave by the early evening and those coming to celebrate the National Championship game should get there early.

There is no doubt the roadways will be packed all leading to Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Even state and local governments will be shutting down early Monday.

One big advantage over being stuck in traffic is MARTA. Friday, Atlanta’s mass transit system said it was ready for the crowds.

On game day, all rail lines will provide more frequent service and trains will be added as needed to handle the volume.

MARTA will also expand its hours starting service at 5 a.m. and will run until 2 a.m. Tuesday.

They advise to download their mobile app and to visit itsmarta.com for more.
