MARTA honors employees who saved customer's life

ATLANTA - MARTA's board of directors honored a group of employees Thursday who went above and beyond the call of duty.

MARTA officials said Officer Michael Wyatt and station agents May McClarin, Solanke Bomani and Annie Parks helped resuscitate a customer who suffered a heart attack. It happened at the Peachtree Center Station back in in December.

Officer Wyatt used an automated external defibrillator, also known as an AED, while the station agents administered CPR.

MARTA also recognized employee Terrance Smart. Smart prevented a would-be thief from stealing a young woman's camera near a MARTA station on DeKalb Avenue.
